School Guard Glass™ specifically designed and tested a product that is low cost and meets the needs of school security while eliminating the blast and bullet proof aspect of the product and thus the majority of the cost. This glass is tested to withstand entry from someone who is armed with anything from a hammer to a gun. Their purpose was to create a product that would be so hard to break through that the perpetrator would have to spend five minutes or more trying to gain access.
For a fraction of the cost of bullet or blast rated glass, SGG can install into your current entrance system glass and other required parts to keep people out of your building for an additional 5 or 10 or even 15 minutes.
School Guard Glass (SGG) is the clearest, thinnest, and strongest architectural flat glass available. In an event where someone wants to do harm towards people or property, SGG is engineered to provide adequate time for first responders to arrive while lockdown procedures are implemented. School Guard Glass is designed, engineered, and tested to withstand forced entry from an attacker while installed in standard commercial doors, frames, and windows. Both SG4 and SG5 products are offered as stand-alone laminates or as panes in double or triple glazed insulated glass units for maximum energy efficiency. Different glass types, interlayer options, and low e coatings are also offered for both products.

Shot first multiple times, then withstands attacks for at least 6 minutes. ~ 3/8” to ½” thick as stand-alone, and can fit into existing ¼” glazing pockets.
